Our message: Massive amounts of sensitive data are being collected, analyzed, shared and sold on our children, families and teachers via schools. The collection, handling and sharing is largely unregulated and vulnerable. H.B. 7017 (file number 686) does NOT protect them. Rather, the bill does MORE HARM by transferring data ownership AWAY from children, families and teachers and, allows the data to be SOLD. When HB 7017 comes to the House floor, please-strike current language & amend -or- record your vote of "NAY".
